Bao-Nghi Droste was born in Stuttgart, Germany. After an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker, he started to study Industrial Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt in 2001.

 

While studying he allready gathered further work experience at the offices of Werner Aisslinger in Berlin, Hannes Wettstein in Zurich, or Daniels&Koitzsch Design in Darmstadt. In 2007 he graduated from the University of Applied Sciences and moved back to Heidelberg where he set up his own studio shortly after.

 

His iconic kitchen utensil „T-Serve“, a little helper for preparing tea, directly made it into production and gained the prestigious IF Product Design Award in 2008. From then on he has worked on a variety of projects in the field of interior-, product- and furniture design for different clients and has performed as a consultant in terms of furniture design for architectural practices.

 

Bao-Nghi Droste lives and works in Heidelberg.
